Kis, I've seen old Scandinavian folders before that looked very similar in having a "barrel" shaped handle, but they didn't have this unusual mechanism (i.e. they just hinged on a pin into a slot in the handle like "normal" folders). My next project? Nope, probably beyond my humble abilities to produce. If I try my hand at a folder it'll be a very simple clasp knife like this beautiful example from Andujar.

loooks to have a pretty firm lockup once inserted back into the barrel handle. Looks like a folding pukko.
