I took the "Dancing Sandwiches" off to tinker and when I went to put it back up, the program said I was limited to 50x50, whereas formerly it had been 100x100.

"Mr. Natural" looks squashed.

Did the rules change when I wasn't looking?

Kis, it may have to do with the membership size.
This is what it says when I go to my change avatar page, "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 120 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller)."

Edit:
When I click on the "Properties" of your avatar it says it is 50 X 30 pixels., maybe if you changed your image size?
I thought that at one time you could enlarge one of the dimensions so that it would enlarge the other side. That had to do with the KB size if I'm not mistaken.:(

Yvsa? I had the 'basic' membership for my previous avatar.

dunno. The dancing sandwiches came up when I paid for 'basic.' Maybe size limitation is further enducement to up to yet a higher grade?

I would not have tweaked had I known. Small loss, I know. Just wondered.

Kis, try increaseing the pixel size and see what happens. I editted my post above so you may not have seen it.
If you don't have a photo program you can do that with you can download Irfanview for free.:)

I ran into this a while ago when I was a basic member.

One day the internet was slow or something and my avatar was not loading. I thought it might be a problem with Bladeforums and tried to delete it and reload it.

Bladeforums wouldn't upload the avatar. They had changed the rules for avatars (linked to membership level) and grandfathered in all the old members. But as soon as I tried to change something I was under the new rules.

It's easily fixed by buying a gold membership. :)

For basic members, the avatar size is 50x50--they changed it a while back. If you had a larger avatar before that, you were allowed to keep it, but it you switch now, you are limited to 50x50. That's why I haven't changed mine.

That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 50 by 50 pixels.

Speaking of avatars, yours of a "gray" holding a khuk never fails to bring me to a chuckle.

Hope I'm never on the receiving end of a "probe."

Thanks. Dan Koster whipped it up for me a while back.

Yes, so bad, in fact, he moved to France so he'd feel more comfortable.

Mr Natural....

Melts in your mouth :p

Has anyone read the more recent strips of Mr Natural after he returns to bug Flakey Foont who put him in the mental hospital back in the 70's?? It is some funny stuff, especially Mr. Naturals cohort Devil Girl with the bionic tongue.

Crumb rocks. If you ever get the chance rent the documentary on him. It is great.
