OT: Winter Weather, RENO

Uncle Bill,

Heard on the news that it is taking folks more than FOUR hours to get from Reno to the Donner Pass on Hwy 80. Lot's of snow and bad weather, That's the storm that hit the coast here 2 days ago and blew my outdoor furniture (metal and glass, not plastic) clean off the patio and piled it into the back wall!

Another storm is here now and is really howling, picking up steam and and headed your way. We have everything battened down. How you guys doing up there in the Titanic? Snowed in yet? Let us know how it's going...

My son is up there and said that they might get 6 feet of snow by next week?? Stay warm Uncle Bill.
 
Looks like we have about 3 or 4 inches on the ground. It can snow 6 feet in the Sierra and we can stay dry down here. The Donner pass is a high one and can be a real pain in the ass in winter. Just ask the Donner party!!!
 
Holy Cow! Its about 40 and only about an inch of snow here in Vermont. Glad I don't live in one of those cold places like Nevada ;)
