Does anyone else have an issue with the detent in the closed position? My new purchase is not locking closed.

Just curious what you mean by locking. The detent on mine is a bit weak, but it certainly doesn't open in the pocket. If yours does I would send it back immediately before it results in an injury.

It doesn't feel like its engaging the detent. I can shake it lightly to open it.

I can shake mine open, but it takes a decent amount of force or persistence for it to go.
