Did some thinking, hard task I know...and picked up this folder by Otha, there is a thread over in Gallery but thought I'd post here since it's my knife now and before it was just a post to show off his knife, but now she's mine and I have show off privileges and like to share the knife here as well, just made an Elk skin braided fob for this folder that really sets it off nicely, haven't had time to make a sheath for it yet, but when I return it will be getting some leather for sure as I want to carry it around a bit more! Blade is about 3" and pretty much a straight edge, see post in Gallery for the blade out image...scales are Giraffe bone and look very nice, full of character! Otha did a very good job on this, the knife is a liner lock and locks up solid, the tip piece works like a friction folder, and one cool feature with that is, when you are cutting, if perchance you happen to disengage the liner lock, though I don't see that happening on this knife, your hand is resting on the tang that flips up and over so you are gripping it's tail so to speak and makes it even more secure! The blade is flat ground and thin edged so it really cuts well!
Enjoy!

As I stated after seeing the picture of this knifethat is on the Gallery forum, I love this knife. It has the looks of an old time friction folder, but has a modern liner lock system. Wonderful knife.

That looks like a real beauty Gary! I wish we could get a better view of it though. Can you do a scan with the blade open and a closeup of the paddle? I've been thinking about the whole friction folder thing lately and has the same idea to make a liner locking version. I doubt mine would be as nice as that though!:)

The fob is very complementary as well. I was wondering, do you ever make sheaths with pocket clips?

It certainly is a good knife and right now I'm going through withdrawel symptoms, typing this from an airport waiting on a flight to Holland, and for one of the first times since I can remember I HAVE NO KNIVES ON ME >>>>> HELP !!!!! I'm going crazy!!! I packed a couple so when I get there I can load up again but the trip is killing me, guess I should have brought along some Cutting Edge magazines to ease the pain?

I'll post a fully open scan when I return next week, If I'm sane enough by then...oh the pain of it all...:(

Everyone stop and say a small prayer for me while you hold your knives and I'll feel better ...:)

You will really miss your knife when you get to the airport in Holland and you see cops running around with semi auto rifles all over the place, it makes you wonder why they need them.

Welcome back!!

Glad you got the knife and not me. :D Although I really like the knife.

You can compare it to Alan's knife some time, maybe next month. I need a slip sheath made for it. Must protect it the Wife's purse.

Sending you e-mail on the sheath.
