One thing I keep on my person since I got cargo jeans is a mini prybar with the hook end ground off and rounded down. Legally can the police classify it as a burglary tool?
I investigated the Kansas legislature and could find no such law prohibiting possession "burglary tools" in the first place, other than a mandate that person arrested for another crime must be fingerprinted if they possessed burglar tools.
It should be noted bans on mere possession of burglary tools are not the norm across the US. Even in states that have them (such as Maryland), the burden of proof lies with the state to prove you intended to use them for a crime.
