I just got mine on Friday from SMKW , dirt cheap ! a tad under 20 bones....

I like the size of the knife a lot , it feels right at home in my paw. The sheath had some folks unhappy but I think for under 20$ you get what get , the sheath works ok for me and i'm no big fan of kydez as it is , I think I'll craft a leather one using the kydex as a pattern , the keychain is a cool freebie for other uses as I have zero intention of putting anything with a blade near my neck :p
I used her to cut some cardboard , paper , 60 lb test line and edge retention seemed sufficient enough for the price I paid.
I think this is an awesome piece of blade for the money , it's relatively lightwieght and with the right sheath could be carried with comfort, the size of the blade is innocuous enough to pass off as 'friendly' although the knife has a 'tactical' feel to it.
I think with some modification (this knife is begging to be upgraded with nice wood scales and a polish) it would even pass off more 'friendly'.

Here she is with a bunch of goodies

IMHO , another bargain from CRKT
:D

yes good knife for the money. I have had one about two years now and it has not failed me yet. CRKT has some good knives for the price.

Hey Guys...

Great knife for the price...

A knife that I'm kind of shocked doesn't get more talked about..
I EDCE this knife daily at work..
It's used probably more than alot of my other knives..

The factory sheath really blows though...

I love mine...absolutely a great knife for the price you can get it now. I picked mine up for $15, and SMKW has it for 11.99 I believe. I was wearing it as a neck knife, but now have used the clip and have it attached to the visor of my car. I kind of like the weird little symbol on the side...I don't remember what it means, but it is like the symbol on "28 Days Later" and I think I saw that symbol on another zombie-type flick...obviously, this knife is designed to eliminate zombies! But seriously...a great knife and just feels good in the hand...lots of carry options, all in all, a great bang for your buck.

not a bad knife but the sheath sucks. Probably why it doesn't get carried much. It fell out a few times.

FWIW- The symbol is a modified biohazard symbol- the standardized signifier for (potential) biological contamination. Put on shipping containers etc. to warn people of anything that might be especially germy (lest they be tempted to lick all over it)

Also used to indicate "hot" areas where you might want to wear a bunny suit. (and where you might find zombies in a horror flick)
Didn't mean to post twice. I'm kind of dumb this morning- no coffee yet.

I'm curious... Normark did you make your own sheath ? I'm trying to picture how I'm going to make one so that it will will fit snug enough inside.
Hmm , I might start this tonight , when I'm done I'll post some pics.

I modified my sheath with some paracord to carry horizontal on my belt, above my pocket. Works great, and its been my EDC defense knife for a while now.

It can handle the stresses of stabbling and slashing well, I have put it through the ringer.

I bought one a year ago for 7 dollars. All black, partially serated blade. The sheath leaves something to be desired, but really, I absolutely love it.

I've found that carrying it IWB at either 2, 3, or 4 "o'clock" works quite well.

The knife fits in my hands extremely well also.

I saw your original post regarding the one with the Ebony scales , nice :)

I'm thinking on using some 1/8 inch quilted Maple or Shedua I have.
