OTK DC slicer?

Guys,

I am about to put in an order for OTK (ozark tradition knifeworks) DC slicer K390 with carbon fiber scales.
Please help me decide if I should go with Ti bolsters or without?
The price difference is $100 more for bolsters.
What is your opinion of bolsters in general (like/do not like)?
Appreciate any opinion/input.

I am on Davids list currently for a DC slicer. I went without the bolster. While I really like the looks of the titanium bolsters he does. I just went with G-10 scales only to keep cost down. I would say if you have the money, go for it. To answer your other question about bolsters. I do not think they necessarily serve any other purpose on a fixed blade aside from aesthetics. And I think they are a showing a form of fit and finish. Making the bolster meet up to the scale with no gaps.
