So I have seen a couple posts with pictures of the otter messer sodbusters. I have been to their website. Three sizes.... I want them all! I was not able to order them directly either because they don't ship to the US or some other reason. It is hard to say since I don't speak(read) German. Does anybody know if there is somewhere in the US I can purchase these? Thanks in advance to an always helpful community!

According to their website, they ship worldwide with DHL, just without insurance. I'd try writing them if they could make an exception and send it with insurance. Surely someone there speaks english. Their shipping quotes look pretty expensive for me though, esp. for a package without insurance.

Thanks Becker. I thought they did, but google doesn't translate everything on the page so I was having some trouble. I'll try again.
 
strange, there ought to be a few outlets in the US, the otter messer was a big hit there after the GIs came back from WWII with them, similar to the story of the SAK's increased popularity.
 
There are a few ebay dealers that have some and can get you other models, and at least one USA dealer that carries some....
 
There is no US place to buy the Otters, I had to buy mine directly from Otter and pay the obscene shipping amount from overseas. I used google translate to communicate with them, it was pretty easy.
