Otzi's clothing

Thanks for posting the article link. I went to Europe several years ago specifically to see Otzi and was fortunate enough to get a tour from one of the English speaking directors of the museum. Amazing trip and I am not sure who was more excited, me or the director of the museum -- they don't get many people there who are so interested, let alone practice primitive living skills.

Museum is very well done and all of Otzi's items are (or at least were) on display under nitrogen filled glass giving you the opportunity to view the articles from most angles and even from below in some cases. Outside the fact of viewing preserved tools and clothing 5,300 years old, which in itself put me in awe, what also was most impressive was the quality. His copper axe, clothing (including the stitches), tools, etc. all had perfect symmetry and looked of the highest quality. Otzi is a good reminder that we ALL have a common denominator in our past.

it's fascinating on many different levels, but I sure don't want to go afield dressed like ole Otzi, or be limited to the tools he had. :)
