ok, i have the go ahead from wifey to buy a hell razor the next time one is available and have set up email notification for when they are on sale again...however

I also want a Mark Terrel USK. keep in mind i do not know the going price for this knife.

I know this forum is heavily pro busse BUT i like both knives equally lets say for sake of argument. I will be using either knife as a trail/camping/hike knife.

What GOOD comments do you have to make for either knife?

I had a Hell Razor, I was bored and I had a bed with a wooden frame. 20 min later, I realized that I had to sleep on a bed minus the frame for the rest of the school year. I should of held off for another 3 months for graduation when I didnt need the bed anymore.

Awesome knife.

:D thats great. At least I am not the only one with a desire to chop up wood in the house at times and regret it later.

I have never seen, held, or used a Mark Terrel USK, so I can not honestly comment on it. All I can do is comment on the Busse.

I like my Busses very much. When I first saw pictures of the Hell Razor, my first thought was "Too gimmicky. The waves on the spine are an unneccessary adornment." Just goes to show how wrong first impressions can be. When I finally bought one, the balance and feel was great. The two spine depressions are very useful, in conjunction with the choil, for choking up on the blade. It is also thinner than most Busses of this length, and I have always been partial to the thinnest stock available in any given Busse model. (Contrary to uninformed opinion, there are some very fine thin Busses.) I own many intermmediate size Busses, and the Hell Razor is in the top two or three. It is a fairly large knife that is not too heavy or awkward to wear for outdoor activities.

StevenKim,

Thats hillarious!

Mike, thanks for the positive words, i thought the waves were adornment at first too.

Your not alone bro.

Onward to the question at hand:

The mark terrel usk is a wicked design. But if i were you id get the HR. I have 2 of them. I love them. :D

MT will be making the USK for years to come. But the busse is getting rarer by the day. Your gonna end up with both anyways (i am guessing from my own exeperience). So get them in the logical order.:p

We seem to share a similiar taste in knives, and i recommend the HR highly. Youll be nothing but happy. BTW is this your first peice of INFI? sometimes they ive you free hats. lol:D

Then snatch up a usk, and reveiw it for us here at Bladeforums.;)

Best regards, Hal

Here is my advice:

First- Never wait for approval from any wife/girlfriend/etc.. (better to ask for forgiveness than permission)

Second- Go with the HR

If push came to shove I could part with all of my Busses, other than the Hell Razor and my EU-17s.

IMO, the Hell Razor is the best mid sized standard production Busse I’ve owned so far.

The only reason I got rid of it was that it was a trade for a Badger Attack 3. I just didn't need that kind of size nor could I justify the extra weight in the field.

The Hell Razor is a GREAT knife though. I started with a bedpost, just a wack. And it cleaved it clean off, so I did another, then another and finally I had no bed posts. Then I started working on the frame....its a great chopper!
