Ok... I know we've all done it. I was playing around with my user BM this mourning. Well it started to fall off the work bench and without a thought I tried to grab it :grumpy: A big mistake. Well after a trip to the ER I know have 6 stiches in my "birdie" finger to match the cut that only was stopped by bone. When I noticed the cut I could see the vien in my finger, I was lucky it wasn't cut.

The moral to my story. Let the INFI hit the ground.....It won't hurt it, but for sure you'll get hurt.

Now I can't even grip the BM since the cut is at the joint:grumpy:

I feel better now... I've vented:p

Lesson learned, no doubt.

A falling Busse is the last knife you need to catch in an act of "protection."

Just a matter of time before they bite you. Unfortunately, you can never trust that knife again :( Slap it on the ass and send it out the door to me. I'll see to it that it never has the chance to rear it's ugly head towards you again. Bad Mistress, BAD!

BTW, best thing about good, clean cuts is they heal really quickly. Take care.

Never reaching for a falling knife is a time honored rule that many know but few obey. It is just so instinctive to grab for it. Something similar happened to me once but lukily it was with a lightweight folder and not a motherload of INFI.

I did the same exact thing - except with a glass. I caught it against the cabinet where it promptly shattered and brutally cut my finger at the joint. I needed to go to the hospital, but I was too busy and stubborn; instead it bled for quite some time. Today I have a lovely 2 inch scar to show for it.

Falling knives and glasses are best left falling !

Yow!
Glad you're ok Raden.

I once had this happen with a 5 lb hammer, but instead of getting cut with it the momentum swung it, well...into my boys:(:o:(

Moral of the story, don't ever try this with a BM;)

Well, I guess now I have INFI in my veins, although I doubt I'll hold up as good as she will.:D

Ouch! That's gotta hurt.
Well, I guess now I have INFI in my veins,
   Careful, that INFI stuff is highly addictive just to handle much less to start main-lining like that! If i were you I'd cut up ALL my credit cards IMMEDIATELY and have your phones disconnected and head straight for the Betty Ford clinic for some serious INFI rehab while you still own your house and your car!!!:D :p :p ;)

You know what they say, once you get INFI in your veins in difficult to keep money in your wallet.
