Just got back from the ER.

When I took the dogs on their walk to night I felt a pull in my abdomen getting them out of the car, a mile later I could barely walk. Managed to get back to the car, got the critters home and managed to get to the hospital. I've been hurt before, I thought big time. This didn't compare to anything that had happened in the past. I was hurtin, couldn't stand, sit or lay down, told em just f'n shoot me.

When I dropped my pants I had a bulge the size of a tennis ball  on my abdomen and it was a bit tender

Strangulated hernia, I never had any symptoms before.

, feeling pretty good now, they shot me up with all sorts good things to get me out enough to put it back in.

YEEEOOOOOWWWW, I don't know if I want to read about that, but glad to hear you are O.K.!!!!!

.

Yowee! That sounds like a bad bitch! So now ya gonna get your hernia repaired soon? That reinforcing mesh they use works wonders. I've known at least half a dozen people who've had it done. My wife needs it and keeps putting it off. If what happened to you happens to her I'll bet she doesn't put it off any longer! Good luck to you.

I'll strangulate my hernia for a shot of the good stuff!! OK, maybe not but I hope it works out for you. They don't want you to lift anything heavy,,,except your checkbook!!! Get better.

I've felt your pain. In my case, it went out through my navel. Fortunately for me, it didn't involve an actual loop of intestine. However, it required surgery to reduce. Double-plus un-fun. Rest up and get well.

Rick - funny scar in my belly button

I can't remember if it's 3M or Dupont, but one of them makes the solution to that problem....same stuff they've been using since the 60's. I've got a nice hunk of the stuff in me as does my surgeon:eek:

Take the recovery slow....very slow!

Take care,

You can add me to that list, and it most certainly does work wonders. Give the scar tissue a little time to form around it and you'll never have a problem there again.

Glad you are OK now....

But it goes to show that if you carry all your Infi around on just one side of your body you'll strain something. :grumpy: :grumpy:

I was thinking that, it's the fat MS that put me over the edge ;).

I think I need to spread it out a bit, but I'm just too right handed.

Spent sometime in the parking lot, de-INFI-ing myself before entering one of Boulder's 'criminal safe zones'. After my daughter got me home, she had to ' go find the Busse's ' I threw into the truck.

Jim,

TAKE IT EASY MAN......

GET BETTER SOON:thumbup::thumbup:

Take it easy man, and recover. Happens to the best of us though. When I was 23 my best bud, who was in really good shape, got a hernia from climbing a steep hill.

sorry to hear that...have a speedy recovery. how big or what kind are the dogs?

Don't laugh !

Glad to hear you're doing better Jimmy!

So what happened to the rest of those dog's legs?! :D

That breed is one of the smartest and sweetest on the planet.

I understand that their only issue is that they can eat like HOGs and can get so heavy that their health is affected.

My Maincoon cat can have that same problem.
