This one I bought on the sale forum from Dirk Potgieter (aka Oupa). Like he says, "Oupa's Outback Knife Workshop - I embellish/ personalise/ customize knives, because I like to and not for a living". (For some reason those wacky Aussies spell personalize with an s ;) )
This one is customized from the Northwoods Scagel folder. The wood is Lignum Vitae. 1095 steel, half-stops, nice and crisp. Not only that, there was a certificate that stated the Lignum Vitae actually came from a stash found in the attic of William Scagel's Dogwood Nub workshop. Oupa did some great work on this one.

I have one of those also and several others he did for me from Northwoods too and some that are untouched still factory. They are super little slip joints. I should have bought at least one of each model.

Congrats Rob! I was tempted big time on that knife, but have been holding back the last few months.

STR. That collection is sweet!

Nice catch Rob! That's a beauty for sure and has built in historical character.

The beauty of those knives is that they are made to work and will most probably last a few generations.
The wood makes that one extra special IMO.

A friend has found another two blader for me to work on, so I will be able to make two more using the last of my Scagel wood.
I am glad because it puts the wood to the use for which Bill Scagel intended it for and a fellow knife-nut can own a bit of knife-making history.

Nice, solid looking knife, Rob! Good looking, rugged, personlized, and with some real knife history connection. Not a bad combo at all!

STR, some good lookers there too.
