We just received word from Chuck that Barb, our "Original Knife Wife" Barb-B-Q, passed last night at approx. 7:30.

Our hearts are broken. . .

Our thoughts and prayers from the entire Busse Family go out to Chuck and Barb and their loved ones. . .

I can't help but to think of this poem by Henry Van Dyke

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!”

“Gone where?”

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: “Here she comes!”

And that is dying.

This is very sad news. Barb was a wonderful woman that lit up the room wherever she was. God bless and prayers sent.

Prayers sent.

She is probably the only non-famous person I never met face to face, who I will miss.

(well...she is famous around here)

God Bless

Though I didn't know Barb or you Chuck, you have such a wonderful group of friends here, that I know you are loved dearly and are good people.

Words never seem to really do enough or ease the pain like we all wish they could.

I hope that the love of friends, family and God will help you.

Sorry to hear this,Please accept my sincere condolences

Rest in Peace,Barb

Chuck I am so sorry for your loss.
