No, not deceased, but missing from the forum. I was just using my strop that Warren helped us make at the Khonvention in 04, and today I'm wearing a the Khonvention T shirt that MaChete arranged to be made and I just wanted to take a minute to meditate on the cool people who did cool things that are gone from the forum.

Not gone, but just hiding out for a while.
Those two get togethers were memorable in so many ways.

I noticed Nasty isn't posting. I e-mailed him. I hope he starts back up.

A couple weeks ago, I was one of them. I'm giving it another good shot, and I'm really enjoying myself. I feel like this place really has hit a turning point, and I'm excited to see where it leads us. I have a good feeling about it, though. :)

Yeah, I miss him too. I hope he is just off enjoying his new freedom from having to read every post every day.

Ok, just stepped off the plane from Las Vegas. What'd I miss;)

I concur. I do hope to get a few more of the ol' timers back in the mix of things. While this place will always need fresh new blood to keep it going, the expertise of the old hands is always missed when it's not around.

Yo, Jake, how'd you hit 'em out there in the land of money, entertainment, and miles and miles of dry, endless desert?

Not to hijack the thread, but that old chestnut about Las Vegas being a cheap place to stay, eat, and drink...just don't gamble, is total horsecrap.:D The wife and I fly out there to meet with another couple with a fist full of cash. We lost maybe 200-300 dollars over four days (mainly slots, really) in gambling. We took about a thousand with us. We came home with a couple hundred. Dinners were over $30 a plate, Breakfast buffets were 12-30 dollars ($30 got you a nice spread and all the champaign you can drink). Everyone was to be tipped. The cab driver, the guy that hails your cab, the cocktail waitress (unless you never wanted another drink that night), etc, etc, etc. In short, we had a blast with some old friends, spent a lot of money (not gambled and lost), and are now both exhausted from jet lag and staying up WAY past our bed time.

..OK, back to the thread topic. Sorry:)

I'm with you Hollow. I haven't been posting anywhere for a couple of months, but it looks like the Cantina managed to survive without me somehow! :D

Hope to spend more time here and a couple of other places online, once I can get my finances and work situation squared away. Still, there is no need to buy anything just to stop by and visit.

New shop, new mods, lots of changes just in the past couple of months.
