The generosity here is overwhelming...in a very good way. As many of you know, our friends from all over the globe are showing the great spirit of generosity so prevalent here in the Traditional forum, with coinage. It has become a tradition of sorts. I see more and more photos with beautiful coins in the composition, from the many places on the planet that our members reside.

Meako contacted me and said he had some coins he thought I would enjoy, and boy do I, and to contact him and he would get them over the pond to me.

I have always found Australia to be a wondrous place, that I one day would love to see with my own eyes. The history of the country in so interesting as well as the biological diversity. I wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef, walkabout the interior, explore Lord Howe Island, and on and on. I have a picture of Lord Howe island on my wall right now. What a magnificent place.

The colony of New South Wales was founded in 1788 and originally comprised much of the Australian mainland, as well as Lord Howe Island.

Well...thank you Meako...for reminding me of the dreams of my youth with your generosity.

One of the islands just off the main island of Lord Howe ..in my mind. With some mother of pearl from my pocket.
