I am wroking hard on our new magazine to hopefully debut in a couple weeks with the REAL version hitting the newstand/web on January 1st 2000.

The debut will be a FREE trial version with the test results of the Busse Basic #9 -vs- Cold Steel Trailmaster. We will also test several other 9" knives.


It will also have articles on

  • SpeedTech Knives
  • The Internet and how it impacts our industry
  • AKTI - American Knife and Tool Institute - Our NRA!
  • Net Knife Dealers
  • Knives in the movies - Good/Bad and really Damn Ugly
  • Knife Test - Busse -vs- Cold Steel
  • What's New!

After the trial version hits we will offer subscriptions. If we get enough subscriptions we will proceed with the real issue. The target mark will be 500 subscriptions.

The real issues will be much more in depth than anything you have ever read before. There will be a new knife test each month. The first real issue will feature a head to head comparison between Mad Dog and Mission.

Ya like we need more controversy huh

Also there will be many more articles than you will see in the debut issue.

Our what's new feature will be really HOT as we will have new products on our site LONG before the rags will.

So look for the new mag very soon now. I hope to have the debut/trial issue up by December 1st.

Any idea on how much each issue or the subscription price will be, if this thing flies? (I'm sure you'll have no problem getting the 500)

You can sign me up, sight unseen, I know it will be great. Premier issues can become collectors items, one of 500 I like the idea of that. How about hand signing issues for Members? Is there any chance there will be something in there for we few, that like the more traditional stuff? Some Hard Core articles on Collecting? Most important to me is, are you really going to call it like you see it?
