The AK actually did as much or more damage to the chain. Leave it to that knife to make the test go the other way. It is too bad I don't have the Villager any more. I could have taken before and after pictures and done the "Can you see the difference - I can't see the difference" line.

I saw the original thread on khuk vs. chain the other day.
My response was to recall a night in the early 50's...knife vs. bike chain. The guy whipping the chain around relied heavily on its intimidation factor...he backed off when I explained that I wouldn't be able to fool around with him and would have to really use the knife: 'sticks', not 'cuts', after his first swing at me. It's best when an encounter ends with both people walking away.
The chain is like the 'chucks...only dangerous in the hands of a well-schooled expert, against unprepared or easily intimidated opponents. The knife can block the chain...as Cliff's experience proves. The chain can't block the knife.
