Our Prayers are with those in Vegas

When I opened the news this morning, my heart broke because it’s such a nice place and it was just people trying to have a good time.

I sincerely hope that we can focus on helping all the victims and not turn this into a political battlefield. Just enough of that. We need to be humans first.

Sage smoke and prayers send to all the victims including the shooter’s family for being in shock. Hope we can grow stronger from here on.
 
After initial shock, next thing to set in is "Why?"....

It's gonna get politicized, naturally...but the loss of life is unfathomable and shouldn't be overshadowed by any infighting.

As for the "Why?" at this point...I'll venture the perp lost his life savings / retirement gambling and went off the deep end.
 
Bodies haven't even been counted and the press has already had 3 reporters going on about gun control and how this would have never happened if there was......sad.
 
Don't know what is wrong with out world. Prayers out to all those impacted by this act of terror
 
Sad....very very sad. Coward couldn't just go out alone. Heartbreaking really. God be with his family and his victims and their families.
 
Fully automatic weapons and lots of ammo; definitely more to the story.

A very sad day for our country.:(
 
Prayers to this country- Sadly, even when we know every detail there is to know the one question will still remain unanswered- Why? Although we know the answer to why from some in the past it's not enough-

At what rate would these types of events have to happen for people to come to political action versus "thoughts and prayers" though?

Political action = gun control laws.

Proven time and time again, gun control doesn't prevent crime. Heck, look at Canada on the same day. Guy rams cop with car, then continues on to stab him 7 times, then gets U-Haul truck and runs people over.

Nail bomb at concert......

More vehicles running crowds down......

Where there is a want, there is a way. People have to quit looking at the tool of the crime and start looking at the reason.

I have only caught it on muted lunch diner TV. so far..what I saw had me speechless and dead in my tracks.

My prayers are going lots of places right now, many of them mentioned.
 
Unfortunately, where there is a will, there will always be a way. If there was a good and sure way to prevent attacks and tragedies by maniacs, we would have done it already. There isn't. Evil exists and evil people exist and their actions are inherently evil. It is clear and evident by their works. This is true all over the world since the beginning of time.
 
Such sad, indiscriminate loss of life. :mad: My prayers go out to the families of all the victims.

This might include the parents of one of the children in my son's 5th grade class. :( We are unsure at this point if they survived. We know that her father was hit, but that's all we know for sure so far.

Can we please just go with my intent on this thread ?

Please just remember the people that are hurting and those that lost folks today and were hurt.

And please do pray for comfort for those suffering.

There are plenty of other places to argue politics.

No matter how many times things like this happen, I'll never understand what makes a person do something like this. Praying for all those affected.
