I would like to introduce our 2013 CKCA Cancer Research Benefit Knives.
A huge thanks to the ACE Group, who are also CKCA members, Tom Ferry, John Christensen, David Lisch, Michael Ruth Jr and Michael Vagnino for this beautiful 'Matched Set' Bowie Knife and Folder. More information on these impressive knives will be coming.

As in the past, we will kick-off this project at our CKCA Banquet the Thursday night before Blade Show. This outstanding set will be displayed at the Banquet and at the CKCA Booth in the lobby of Blade Show. Please help us support cancer research. With your help the CKCA has contributed over $34,000 to cancer research over the last 4 years.

Our 2013 contribution from the raffle of this set will go to The "V" Foundation for Cancer Research. In the past we have designated which type cancer we wanted our contribution to go towards, however this year we will let the "V" use our contribution to where it's most needed. 100% of all contributions to the "V" Foundation go directly to cancer research.

Thanks to Buddy Thomason for the fine job on our promo materials.

Wow I am thrilled to be a part of this project this is my first look at the finished knives and I must say it looks like the rest of the ACE group did a fine job on their parts I made the damascus and wanted to do something different for this project so I added Blooms to my feather pattern I call it fancy feather I did learn a good deal from the process . I look forward to seeing them at the banquet and all the other fine knives that will be in the CKCA micro show

awesome blades for a great cause. Having lost a loved one to cancer and my wife recently overcoming cancer things like this hit home:)

If you are attending Blade Show please drop by the CKCA Booth in the Lobby of Show Room to see these beauties and chat a bit with us.
You can also purchase Tickets to possibly win this set of knives.

Well Done team!
Dave the blooming feather is gorgeous. What a great knife set. I really like the matching handles.

Well Done team!

Totally. Naturally I inspected these puppies while photographing them and that was my thought too - well done.
I mentioned to Kevin I thought this was one of the best integrated collaborative efforts I've seen. The result is an impressive matched pair.
They have an almost ceremonial quality because they are visually bold and thus they'd be well-suited for a display case or even a nice desk stand.
Another thought I had while they were with me was, "It would be fun to own these" - kind of the ultimate big dog desk blades. ;)
Think what I'm saying is it would be cool to keep them close-by because they make you want to pick them up and... well, open your mail and... maybe cut up a lot of paper - which is what I do with my favorite desk knives. ;)
Gotta cut that paper to make sure the blade is still sharp.
Note to myself - buy a lot of tickets this year. :)

After seeing them all finished up in the display case at BLADE, I couldn't help myself...I had to drop for a a few chances to win them:D

Thanks for your support of cancer research.
The project has started off a little slow compared to past years. :(
I expect it will pick up! :)

Great looking and classy knife set for a great cause. This is worth all the support the great team will get on such a selfless act.

Just bought my tickets
Good Luck everyone but especially to me.:D
Hope everyone buy at least one I've had a lot of friends and family taken by cancer, including my mother-in-law @ 54 years old. Hopefully someone will find the answers to end this Horrible disease.

There's only a few days left to get your tickets on-line for a chance to win these beautiful knives. The deadline for on-line purchase is this Monday October 7th @ 6:00pm EST. http://customknifecollectorsassociation.com/Projects/2013_Benefit_knife.html

The Drawing will be held next Saturday October 12 @ The Jerry Fisk Micro Show. Those attending the show will be able to purchase Tickets right up until time of the drawing.

We haven't sold as many tickets as we have in past years so your chance of winning is quite good and it's for a great cause.
