Our wonderful trip to Mackinaw Island!

Lexi and I took a road trip this weekend to Mackinaw City, Michigan. We had such a wonderful time. I just wanted to share some photo's with you guys.


Here is the sunset and the Mackinaw Bridge when we first arrived to the city. It looks like I have another sunset photo to add to my collection ;)







The first night, we walked around and checked out the local bars and shops. Lora is a huge fan of mustaches so I took this pic for her :D




This is an awesome memorial in the middle of downtown (sorry for the lighting)




I have a bit of a sweet tooth and this assortment of goodies just made my day :)




We took a ferry to Mackinaw Island and rented some bikes to cruise around on. Here are a couple of pics from the ferry ride






We rode our bikes all the way around the Island (which is nine miles, if I remember correctly). The water was so clear, it was beautiful :thumbup:.






The last day we were there we laid on the beach all day long. It was a wonderful little vacation.






Has anyone gone on vacation yet this year? If you have, I would love to see some photos!!! :D

 
Nice. Brings back some childhood memories. Have been meaning to return at some point.

Nice !!! Just home from our short breat away.... after the Whale Chasing I spent most of the rest of teh time reading or fishing.... :D
 
Awesome pics, but we didn't get to see any Pokey or Lexi!?!?!? This trip was a hoax and she found all those pics on the internet..... ;)
 
I was at Mac. City a few weeks ago...............Got the same bridge picture................Had a great time.....Instead of going out to the island we circled the UP................Thanks for sharing............carl
 
I've been there several times, its very relaxing.
It looks like you two had a good time, if you decide to go back I suggest that you go on the horse drawn carriage tour of the Island, It doesn't take up too much of a day and is a very nice thing to do.
 
Looks like you guys had a great time. I haven't been to Mackinaw in years. Those pics brought back some great memories. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like you girls had a blast! Great pictures :thumbup: I was so happy when Pokey sent me the mustache picture, it made my entire weekend. :D
 
We are going to Utah for vacation this Saturday.......................permanent vacation :)
 
Looks Like a nice place to relax and enjoy time away from the office...thanx for the pics Pokey....:thumbup: :cool:
