After doing a block of 12hr night shifts where I just come home, go to bed, get up and eat then go back to work, I was ready for some much needed fresh air so grabbed my Booshway and headed out !

While out I spotted a large section of wood that I suspected was fatwood, I quick chop with my Booshway confirmed it was...

I love my Booshway because it has the dimensions to allow me to chop and pry out sections of Fatwood but is then still able to make fine shavings to take a spark from a ferro-rod. All the little Bushcrafter fans would have to search around for a batton to do the same !

Nice pictures - I thought of the umpa-lumpa's with the line 'all the little bushcrafter fans...' :D

Unlike here, looks like fat wood grows in trees around there....:D
I still have to check out this natural tinder...see what's all the fuss about.
Beautiful country.

pit love to see your pics, those dogs a real trip. fatwood is many miles from here looks like it would make a good chew for strong stomachs.--dennis
