Had another nice day, so we decided to go for a hike in McKinley woods, about 15 miles from home.

I love the woods. Nothing but cacti and sand in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the great pictures.

Seeing those pictures are sweet, like looking at the hardwoods all conifreous here.
Any history on the foundations and foreplace?
Also had a looksee at your knives that little Keppie is a fine looking blade
Thanks
Dan'l

I believe the fireplace was part of either a small lodge, or ranger house. The foundations (there are more scattered through the woods) were housing for a POW camp in WW 2.

Nice photos! I like the looks of that forest - the terrain is contoured and interesting. It reminds me of some of my favourite hiking spots along the Niagara Escarpment.

Thanks for posting,

Awesome photos man, I love the woods in the Autumn! I've got to get out for a while soon.

Very cool John! Looks like it was perfect weather.

Handled a couple of your blades today and was very impressed! Keep up the good work in the shop!
