Connie got off work early, so we decided to go out for a hike and a picnic lunch. We drove down near Morris to Goose Lake Prairie. We walked a 5 mile loop, and then had lunch. Enjoy the photos.

This is a replica of a two story cabin built in the 1830`s. The original was part of the Underground Railroad.

Cool pictures - that looks like a big park.

Odd to see that turtle in the parking lot - they are looking to lay eggs this time of year - maybe they paved over her birthplace....

It is a big park, one of the trail loops is 20 miles. The turtle was a small one, maybe 2" diameter.
