Probably been asked before but, here goes..... How about a full flat grind blade? I use and Endura 4 with a full flat grind and I think it would be neat to see Mr. Emerson make a ffg blade. Just a request. Thanks

Think your dream is like my dream for more lefty Emersons. Mr. Emerson has this secret business plan, and it is I am sure his secret.

Don't see our dreams coming into reality.

I don't see that one happening. Every folder Emerson has made since the garage days has been saber ground as far as I know. It's pretty much tradition and I doubt it will change. I prefer the saber grind to FFG anyway.

It's a saber grind, as shown here:

Nothing a good regrind can't fix, when done by someone that has some skills.

Well if I wanted a certain grind IMHO it would be smarter to start off with what you want rather then rebuild some that works.

I thought long and hard about the One Emerson I own, it does what I have asked it too do. Plus I will give Mr. Ernie credit for knowing more about knife making, and modifing than me.

See no reason to reinvent a wheel that rolls good enought to make me happy. Beside if I save my modification money, and a few for buck I can buy another Emerson.

Not sure your meaning but, sometimes when people buy a knife, they often modify it. Nothing new, here are some examples, pictures are property of their respective owners, (not me).

My point simple I think my STOCK CQC-7 is perfect for me thus no reason to modify or reinvent what is not broken.

My other point about modification money being spend on another CQC-7, or Commander iIMHO for me is what I wold do with my money. Buy another Emerson, it my case it will be another LEFT HANED MODEL. Commander is calling me.

Also when you tinker, you kiss that life time warranty good buy, something you paid for in the original purchase price.

When I was a Freelance Photojornalist, I did on occassion improvise, adapt, and used goofy gizmos I made to produce effects I want there were no comercial made product for.

Think like RED GELL OVER A FASH HEAD, OR GOLD FOIL to bunce light off. So I am not anti improvising, but me I don't get over modifying, as me thinks, Mr. Emerson knows more about knives than me.

Freedom to choose, thanks to living in the USA.

The regrind on that 8 was done by a knifemaker in South Africa. It's only a regrind, not that big of a deal. Do whatever YOU want with YOUR knife, the regrinds I've had done to my Emersons have resulted in them becoming way better slicers than the original grind ever was. They aren't able to handle as much abuse though, but that's why I also have most with factory grinds and edge angles.
