Just me and the dogs today, Mrs Pit had some jobs to do around the house so I get the tough job of walking the pooches.......us men have it rough eh !:D

Snicker made her first kill today, I'd like to say she provided dinner by bringing me a Hare or a Rabbit but alas it was only a mouse....I guess she has to start somewhere eh !!!

I didn't wear any gloves during my hike with the goal of letting my hands get cold ,lose a little dexterity and they try making fire with my ferro-rod. As I began the hike they started to get really cold but then to my suprise warmed right back up again so making fire was not really a big deal. Snicker tried to make it a little more difficult by stealing my tinder !!!

Not too many wild edibles around this time of year but I did find plenty of Licorice fern, the root of this and a handfull of pine needles can be used to make a nutritious hot drink that tastes pretty good to boot !

Cute jack. looks just like my little girl, except she is all white. Other than the color, they have the exact same muscle build, face structure, etc. faster than anything, too.
 
Pit, You & Mist keep posting pictures of the outdoors & I might have to get out of Ohio at 55 instead of 62. Nothing beats being outside, hot or cold, wet or dry, day or night, it's all good. Thanks for taking us out with you again.

Yeah they sure are quick, saying that though my Bull terrier can still move pretty quick for an old girl !:D

I don't get to get in the woods as much as I would like, and getting to see all of the pictures on here is nice.
 
Awesome pics bro, nothing like seeing ferns in a rain forest covered with snow and ice.

As for me...I was hiking along a creek in short sleeves and sweating :)

Good pics, of course, Pit. I gotta get my cold weather stuff down, I forgot my sleeping bag this weekend in Virginia, and froze my a$$ off at night. Dumb, I'm just dumb sometimes. I need to get up your way for some guided tours, and training. Perhaps someday, some day soon.:D
