I was flipping through the channels the other night and a guy named Chris Kirk (Hoppinmadhillbilly) was saying Schrade was going out of business.......any truth to this? Is Schrade re-structuring?
 
It is a done deal, Deciduous. They closed at the end of July and bankruptcy auction was a couple of weeks ago. Look back in these posts for the gory details, at least as much as was available to the public. A rebirth in some fashion is not impossible, but there will not be a simple restructure now. :(

It can't be! It's like Chevy or Ford going belly up or Remington or Winchester. Guess I should hang onto the ones I have :D
 
Well, that would be a START. Now go get the ones you DON'T have! Then, duplicates of your favorites. And a Schrade hat. Very important. Don't forget the hat! :)
 
Remington and Winchester sold out, as it were, long ago. They just kept it quiet. :(

Saw one on ebay for $14 just a few days ago, but after the contest we just had, I'm sure the price will skyrocket. Everyone wants to be like Irv now! The hat, the car.....

Ive got an uncle henry hat i got years ago for buying a stockman. I also have a t-shirt, but it is literally "falling off my back", as my wife says and tells me I cannot wear it in pulbic :(
