Scored an out of production Victorinox SAK for my son's birthday next month.

Harvester.

Very cool with that entirely useful small Pruner blade. THE blade for tackling intimidating blister packs:cool: And an otherwise very decent array of tools, can't understand why they stopped it??o_O

Congrats, leghog, that's a real desirable model IMHO.:cool::thumbsup:
I'll bet your son will appreciate it!

I love my Pioneer Rancher. I don't carry it much, but at home it's one of my most used knives. Even the most resilient and impenetrable clamshell packaging will succumb and give up its treasures to the pruner blade.

He will love it! I like the two different blades on that model, I too don't understand why it was discontinued...

They also stopped the Electrician Plus, (still my favorite SAK) , which is this knife with a small sheepfoot instead of the pruner.

I have an Alox Pruner on my belt right now. A really great knife and currently still available, hope that continues! I would love to pair it with a Settler but it also got the axe.

Now if only they had put a combo tool on the Harvester rather than just the bottle opener, I would have bought one already.

The Harvester and Electrician Plus are two of my favorites from SAK. Disappointing that they would discontinue them. Great score Leghog!
Thanks, Neal

Still plenty available on the big auction site. Including a wide range of colored alox shipping from Switzerland.
