Now that we have had 46 BOTM knives to choose from over the years, I am curious as to how many BOTM knives individuals have purchased (please don't include multiples of the same month in the count). Personally I have purchased 22 different BOTM knives. Has someone purchased all 46? That would be incredible. What was the first BOTM you pulled the trigger on? It was the 2018 535 Moose Skinner for me.

I'm a pretty hard sell, so I'm only sitting at eight so far. There were a few I slept on that I really wish I would have picked up though.

My first was the December 2018 112 in S30V and ebony... And my last was today. :)

Same for me. In the first year I wish I would have picked up the 303 Cadet with Elk antler inlays. Also missed out on the 2019 take-apart 110 with red Micarta inlays and the 110 S35VN with Cocobolo wood inlays.

That 110 was one I've been really kicking myself for missing too.
 
Only 7 so far... missed a few by not seeing the email in time (esp the lower production ones). My collection goals don't include "Every One of the BOTMs" ;-). I'm glad for that.

I was unaware of BOTM (or forgot about it) until I became active on BF again earlier this year. So far, none of the recent BOTM offerings have appealed to me sufficiently to purchase.

Same here!! had to run a search in my email and low and behold the first one was December 2018! Now i need to go through and add them all up... I'm afraid that I have bought more than I thought
 
My answer 1-9 was just a guess. I really have no idea.

I believe I may have bought more limited productions knives from the Buck site as I have BOTM knives.

The top Buck was offered on their site as a Limited Production.It's a Federal with paperstone handles.

I think with the BOTM quantities being increased to 500, the numbers will no doubt rise... unless prices get ridiculous.

Under the old quantities, you had to be camped out at or not stray very far from your computer, on the days that the BOTM was likely to be released to keep checking your email or the Buck website for the release, and get in on it before they were sold out... which was usually less than an hour or so afterwards.

And many people failed to even get the Buck emails they signed up for, so by the time they found out that the BOTM was out, it was already sold out.

I've gone from having only one BOTM to six, due to the new quantity.

the beauty of a smart phone. dont have to camp out at the computer. emails come to your phone or texts if signed up for that. you can be there fast without camping out. phone even makes noise when email or text comes through so ya don't even have to look at it until ya get the text or email. I'm always there when it opens due to this. never camped at my computer. i don't even use one at home anymore. phone does it all nowadays. I'm on this sites phone app when I'm here......

How/where do you sign up for texts from Buck?? I've only seen the email sign up.... or do you have your phone to alert for incoming email?

can do either..I do emails as I use my phone for work and have to look at emails constantly for work tasks. so I dont miss much. I'm also lucky that Jeff has texted me in the past saying wake up fool....botm hit.😁
 
You can always choose to "watch" the botm thread here and get alerts when someone posts.
Usually someone here notifies use within minutes of it's release.

I've noticed it quiets down on this thread near typical release time, so I'm guessing many here are respecting / avoiding the "false alarm" scenarios.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
I have 5 different botm offerings. My first was the Jan 2020 112 scalloped cocobolo S35vn drop point, my favorite of all so far. I missed its 110 big brother of Sept 2019, I still keep an eye open for a secondary market specimen.

Since then I’ve got the Aug 2020 110 bare head , Sept 2020 Marksman, Feb 2021 Vantage, Apr 2021 104 Compadre in 3V. This Oct 2021 Duke was sure a nice one but I have several knives in that size range so I passed.

The Mar 2018 303 Cadet in Elk covers was the first one I really wanted but couldn’t get signed in quickly enough and all 100 were gone in only a couple hours. I didn’t get the email alert till a few minutes before they sold out but saw it on bf first.

The text message alerts are much faster than the emails but sometimes I’m in a dead spot for signal so I’ve missed a couple of them but they weren’t of interest to me anyway. Usually when I go to the Buck site it asks if I want text alerts even before I sign in. You should be able to get on the list if you want. Not sure about non USA customers tho.
