So the other day BigBisquit and myself were talking knives and picture taking and he said he wanted to send me something. I thought well this would be fun, some older toy or maybe something else to use as a display when taking pics. NO! Bob decided to surprise me with this beauty, a #77 Yankee Barlow in African Blackwood no less, and he added the EO notch to it! This truly blew me away, I wasn't expecting this at all! Bob, you are too, too kind my friend, I will always carry this with pride and remember how it all came about, that I wound up with one of these! Here it is now,,,,
Paul doesn't get to have all the fun! :D:p Wonderful work on the EO notch Bob, smooth like it came from the factory this way!

This probably belongs in the feedback section. Bob is a pretty cool guy. I just sent something to him. This is a great place to meet and talk knives and pass the fun around.

Perry, too cool for School my friend. You are a very deserving recipient...good Karma your way? Indeed and rightfully so:thumbup:

Bob, what a very kind and generous gift...a pleasure to have you both on the porch:cool::thumbup:

Funny how this whole Karma thing plays out, isn't it Perry? You gift a beautiful knife to Paul and BAM! One drops back in your hands. :D

Thank you Rob, Paul and Bob! Very true, I didn't see this coming at all! Bam is right my friend!

I am falling in love with these traditional folders - true beauty.

Great place with great people, for sure.

Paul, Perry, Bob, a couple threads here today showing what fun it is in traditionals.:thumbup:

What a great story!! One guy gives a coveted barlow to a friend and has it immediately replaced with another coveted barlow from another friend. The only thing that makes this story any better is if Bob wins the lottery tomorrow. :D

Amazing act of generosity, Bob really is a class act and it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.:thumbup::thumbup:
What a Beauty !!!
This porch is such a great place.

I hope this doesn't jack your thread Perry but I wanted to open another testament to Bob. He told me out of the blue he had seen my post about having RA at a younger age and how the Easy Open notch makes it very enjoyable/'easier' as the name suggests for someone's fingers that have have a hard time/pain grasping a blade with a strong pull and offered to Easy Open modify one of my knives. I happily obliged, sent my 56 Northfield Dogleg jack and received this in the post alongside a GEC pocket slip that I hadn't even been told of. Outstanding work by an outstanding person in general and I hope I can soon pay it forward.

Thank you all for the very kind words and great responses! Not at all Tim, Bob is just that kind of guy! One of those guys that's constantly giving back to the collecting community here! Once again, well done my friend!:)

Thanks for the kind comments fellas. There are so many great members here on the porch. Perry is one of the ones that exemplifies the family atmosphere here while embracing the culture of traditional knife collecting. I just wanted to show my appreciation.

Exactly!! Or maybe Paul, Bob and Perry could all win? All three make this place what it is. I feel like a lottery winner just hanging out here.
