While Im waiting on some sanding sleeves to finish up the tin knives I decided I wanted to build myself a knife. I have really been wanting a straight carver/woods knife that isn't too big. So, here is what I have come up with. It looks a little different but I didn't draw it out, I just ground to fit my hands and grips I use most often. Its 4 3/4" handle with a 4" blade thats 1 1/8" at the plunge. Its getting a convex grind as I am not really a fan of Scandis. Ill get her heat treated in the morning and hopefully handled tomorrow night. I really wanted to use an awesome block of flaming root birch that was given to me by an international maker but its a tad too short.
Look mom, no stinking guard!

Looks like a good design for a woods knife.
Youv'e posted pics of some really nice wood,
I especially like the Amboynia Burl.

Alright, changed it up a bit! I didn't like the butt so I rounded the spine side
