I recently purchased a kabar warthog folder knife. I got it from a army surplus store. I paid 30 dollars for it. I then researched it and found I could get it for 15 dollars online. And the other knife I looked at there was a colonial knife company. It was also priced for 30 dollars and found it for 40 online. I should have got that one I geuss

Tough break pal. Sometimes that happens. We've all made poorly timed purchases at one time or another. If I'd waited just one more week on my purchase, I could've saved ten bucks on my Becker BK10.

I'd like to know just where you can find a Warthog online for $15 though, as I've never seen anything like that before. That sounds like way too good of a deal to me, like something's really fishy. You might've spent an extra $15, but you got to examine it for yourself in person, and determine that it wasn't a fake, a factory reject, or a badly boogered up knife that the last goober owner destroyed.

It happens, I got the cruwear manix for $150ish while some places are selling them for as high as $250!!!
Another example, BHQ has the 0562cf for $240 while knifecenter has it for $210.

Yea, it sucks, but it sure does happen.

Big difference in price between a warthog and a warthog folder

There's just about always a better deal somewhere else
What matters is that you got what you wanted for a price you were clearly willing to pay.
The more you second guess yourself, the more miserable you will become...

Congratulations on supporting small American business. I'm certain the store owner greatly appreciates your patronage.

I think we've all had that happen a time or two. When I first got into knives, I didn't know that there were online retailers for knives other that the manufacturer. So I bought my first spyderco on the spyderco website. Oh well...

So, go back & buy it.

I thought someone out raged you, like, one upped your rage level.

Retail is what it is. If you bought it from a local shop, at least you're putting your money into your local economy. Next time, do the research and hunt the bargains.

Shipping would have brought the online price closer to what you paid in person.

Pretty common stuff, man. There's a major outdoor retailer down here that sells standard Kershaw Blurs for $89.99. That's 90 bucks! Come on, man. You can pick up an S30V Blur and still have cash to stop at Whataburger!

It's funny because the store owner probably picked it up for $15.00 online and then put it in his display case for $30.00.

Just teasing you of course. Don't feel bad because it may very well end up earning every cent you paid for it and then some. I've got quite a few things I could've found cheaper.

Not to add more insult to injury but the knife you bought is a piece of crap. I had one a long time ago and threw it away because it had severe lock failure. I could literally make it close by barely adding a little pressure.

I'm pretty out raged we don't have Whataburgers in Illinois!
