One of the first things I came across today was this huge Douglas Fir that had blown over only to be caught by a large Cedar, check out how the Cedar is bending under the weight !
I then came across this perfectly round little hole and wondered what might have made it~
A few minutes further along the trail I might have found my answer, this little shrew was lying dead right in the middle of the path, even makes my tiny Breeden necker look huge ! ~
It amazes me how vines can constrict a trees growth so much as to cause this !
As we hiked on Snicker stopped to read the trail sign !
Check out the size of this bracket fungus we found !
Snicker reminded me it was time for her and Maisy's treats !
