Out today, found some good pine resin !

The sun was shining bright today but much of my walk was in the shade of thick forest growth~

I came across some Coral Root sprouting up, this is an interesting plant with some medicinal uses. If you are interested in reading about it then check out the link ~

I found a tree with enough good resin to fill the bag in the pic, but I wanted to try it out so added some to a little old mans beard seen in the bottom of the pic ~

A few strikes later and we had a good strong flame, hot enough to light even the dampest tinder ~

Eventually we made it up to our favourite view spot ~

Pretty warm for my old girl !

How old is maisy now pit? My old lab spot just turned thirteen and has the white circles around his eyes, white mustach/goatee and even going white between his toes.

Awesome viewpoint, no wonder you see turkey vultures all the time with that valley, must be a lot of good thermals.

Cool pics..I really need to restock on fatwood/resin..just have enough for a few more fires.
Last time I went out, came up with none..best stuff in the world.
