Mrs Pit had the day off today so we headed off to one of our favourite areas, the dogs love to go here as well so they can swim !

Mrs Pit saw this and commented that she'd left her bear bell at home, LOL !

All in all a great little trip !

Awesome pictures. I like the ants nest! Don't see those often.
Looks like you and the miss had a great day out. Now thats spending time together!

We've had an explosion in the black bear population this year (in Virginia). I've seen about 3 sows, 6 or 7 cubs, and 2 boars ... and I wasn't out there looking for them.

Not that looking for a black bear would be a good idea!

Wish I could see some, we are off to Banff later in the year, so hoping to see some bears and other wildlife then !:encouragement:

You'll see them in Banff, for sure.

Hope it's not too hot out there today. Reached 105 outside my house (Fahrenheit). That's a record!

And, of course, there's so much water in the air you feel like you're swimming, not walking.

Nice pictures, you have some beautiful country up there.
That river looks incredible for trout.
Thanks for sharing
