That post title kinda rhymes eh...I like that !

It was pretty wet and muddy where I hiked today. I was checking out all the different tracks in the mud when I came across this one made by a horse, I bet the rider had quite the scare when the horse started to slide !!!

Not sure what lived in the hole under the tree but Maisy and Snicker seemed very interested !

I decided to give the Mark Wohlwend WSK a little more testing and figured I'd make one of my favourite woods toys, an Apache throwing star.

The WSK chopped down my branch in two swings. It performed very well when it came to notching the wood...

My wood working skills have never been the best but this was going together quite nicely...

Once the ends were sharpened I bound the star together with some cordage I'd picked up earlier...

Well I guess an Apache might not be too impressed but I'm sure it would be quite serviceable.....

Here is a simple tinder to start ya fires, some Old mans beard and some dried pine resin....

Although the Old mans beard felt dry it was not and took quite a few strikes to get it going.....

Pit, I'm so jealous of all your adventures! I keep telling my parents I was born in the wrong part of the country lol.
