What with working blocks of 12 hr day shifts and my days off not lining up with Mrs Pits I was feeling a bit down today so took out one of my favourite knives to cheer me up.
With a 1/4" thick, 7 1/2" long blade the Chopweiler is far more knife than I ever really need........but damn I love this bad boy !!!
With the design of the knife I can still use it for finer tasks when needed, today I whittled this fig 4 trap~
When people talk about ' Survival knives ' this is the first of mine that comes to mind !
I also thought I'd take a new bit of kit out to show ya today. I bought this Princeton Tec Amp 1L Flashlight to take on my Banff trip. Costing about the same as a basic Mora my expectations weren't all that high but this thing is awesome given the price ! Not only did the integral cap lifter open my beer bottles all trip but the light given out when I'd let my dogs out before bed was amazing.....I love it, great bit of kit for the money !
A few more pics from today~
I think this mean looking guy is a Camel Cricket !
