Dragged my ass outta bed this morning so I could have a cuppa with Mrs Pit before she left for work, I then grabbed some kit and headed out myself !

I knew I'd make a fire today so when I spotted some fatwood I decided to get some.......

As I gazed out I wished I could have beamed y'all down here to share the view with me rather than just see it through my camera lens !

I found myself a nice spot to make a fire, Maisy checked out my bottle pouch as I gathered tinder.....

That Knatchet seems like it could be a very usefull tool. Was that built to your specs?

Yeah John of JK Knives made it and it was EXACTLY as I had drawn it, I don't know how he does it !!!

Hows that knatchet chop? You know you've got to do a chop off with it Vs. another couple of knives now that you've got it. We NEED to know man! At the very least a complete review!

I didn't design it to be the ultimate chopper, I designed it as an all round tool that could chop effectively but could also be held with my hand up to the blade and used like a smaller knife for finer tasks.

I can say that it chops just as well as my SWKW Chopweiler, biting in just as deep but more accurate to use. The Chopweiler has a 7 1/2" blade made from 1/4" stock and anyone who has one will tell ya that they can chop pretty good themselves.
The Knatchet has exceeded my expectations so lets just say I'm pretty pleased, the only slight niggle I have is a little issue with the sheath but I'm sure I'll figure out how to sort that !!!!;)

I like the pic of the TT posing. I think I will use that as a new background. Thanks for sharing, Pit.

usefull looking tool, reminds me of an old ww1 trench cleaver I saw years ago.
my old lab spot is getting super grey like maisy.
always check your threads
regards

Pit...I really like that knife. It turned out wonderfully. You and John should be proud.

Id be really interested to see a review and comparison to some of your other blades. Just to see what that badboy is capable of. Smashing coconuts, chopping wood, batoning, as well as finer tasks...

Im pretty interested in this one.....

Just to show my Knatchet does more than just chop stuff I started to rough out a large camp spoon this afternoon( I should add my spoons look rough even with a dedicated buchcraft knife !).
