Hey guys, just wanted to share you yall my trip to Harriman State Park yesterday. It was the first time I've gone hiking solo, and though the hike itself was strenuous, it was worth it when I got to the reservoir. I had just received a new Becker BK16 a few days ago on a whim purchase, and wanted to try it out. I'll be honest, never was a fan of the BK 16 but found it surprisingly a GREAT performer in carving and knifecraft tasks. Here are some pics:

I really hate graffiti in the woods. Someone did this sometime int he past few months because I have never seen it here before

The reservoir -- the water has receded quit a bit since I was last here...

Firepit at the campsite. This campsite is kinda hidden and off trail, so I guess I'm lucky to find it!

Used the BK 16 to carve some feathersticks and thin shavings to test it's performance. It was fantastic despite my doubts...

Brought along my modded machax as well. Here are some pics of it next to my maxpedition sitka...

A last look at the knives for the day...

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day
