I know there's not just Horndog who loves this knife so I thought I'd share some pics from today !!!!:D

Made myself some pine-needle tea and used the foil top as suggested by someone a while back, this worked a treat and I achieved a nice rolling boil !

I read recently where someone said the Tracker is poor at chopping, they must have been holding it the wrong way round cos these things bite deep. I could easily have felled this tree in 3 chops if not maybe in two !

During my hike I came across this nice lump of cheatwood and bought it back home to process !

Those are some stout knives Bro! YOu know I love the design.:D

Hey you have all the fun. As I recall, someone modded that Tracker to make it real sharp before they send it to you. Right?

Pit, looks like you have enough fatwood to last thru next year . . . :D
The way you & Mist keep bringing that Tracker on here and talking about it, maybe there should be one headed to Ohio one of these days. At least it didn't look like it was raining on you for once today.
Merry Christmas,
Be safe.

man I like the design of that knife, just not the price tag that goes along with it.....man it's steep.....

I almost bought the Browning FDX version on ebay last week, I'm pretty sure it went for less than $100, last bid I saw was $81 with a couple minutes left, but wasn't sure whether or not to drop the trigger. It doesn't have the sawback or the notched blade and looks a lot more usable to me.

Bought a brand new Kabar Cutlass for $40 shipped instead, so the time wasn't wasted.

Hey Pitdog. Thanks for the post. What can you tell us about the edge on that knife? What else have you used it for decides chopping down trees?
Thanks.
Jeff

With the modified edge this is probably my best fuzzstick maker, great for notching etc as well !

Yeah I like his stuff a lot. Sometime soon, I hope.

We were trying to work a trade deal on a Knatchet a couple months ago (my gun, his knife) but the logistics of doing anything with a firearm in Kalifornia made it next to impossible to accomplish. It was going to cost one of us much more than either the rifle or the knife was worth, in the end, so we decided to drop it.
