They use AUS-8, which is what the old delica's & Endura's had. They can be had cheap. Any opinions or comments ???

AUS-8 is a real razor blade steel. Not as hard as ATS-55, but gets phenomenally sharp. One of my favorite small folder steels.

Nothing wrong with AUS-8A!

Also there are several features about David's knives that I like.

  • They all have milled thumb ramps which aid in grip
  • They are extremely comfortable and ergonomic
  • They are RAZOR hair poppin sharp
  • They have removable clips
  • The clip is an integral part of the design and not an afterthought like most
  • The Tri-Mond pattern makes for a great non-slip grip surface
  • They are not FLAT! Which means they have some contour to the handle which helps fill the gap in your hand left behind by other knives of similar type

Given those qualities, if they go for about half the price of Delica/Endura/Ascent, etc., why are they never spoken about ?
That info helps me though, Mike, since I like thinness, mostly for during working hours when i'm not clipped, but carrying regular pocket carry in Dockers.

Thanks Mike,

You've said it all. Although I my be biased because I designed this line of folders, they are great knives and sleepers in the market. If you can get one cheap go for it. In the Zytel handle folder category, I believe they offer the best handle ergonoimcs out there and G. Sakai hand crafted quality.
