outdoor edge or gigand

i'm looking to get another knife, yeah, surprise, surprise. i'm considering an outdoor edge magna or a gigand titan. if you have either, let me know what you think. and if you have neither, chime in anyway.

I have both, and they are not really comparable. The Gigand is a really slick knife, but the Magna is something else entirely.If there is the possibility of serious (survival,defensive, etc.) use,The Magna is the boss, hands down.For a really well finished, smooth operating, modern pocket knife of reasonable size, take a look at the Titan.Just depends on what you need. Do as I did, get both! ( I do find that I often carry the Magna, and seldom the Titan,FWIW.)

I, too have the Magna and the Titan and agree totally with Choctaw's description of them. However, when it comes to regular carry, I would carry the Titan- the Magna is much larger and heavier. For hard use, the Magna would be the ticket. By the way, if you are considering the Zytel Magna, the prices of the two knives are pretty comparable.

One difference is David Bloch, the president of Outdoor Edge, is active on these forums and very responsive to questions. On the other hand I sent a broken Mosquito back to Gigand months ago and never did get a replacement.

I'd go with the OE Magna. On the other hand, Mike is offering quite a deal on the Gigand Titans. Are there any left?

I own the Magna. I got mine just a few days ago and I love it. It is a big, heavy SOB but it's really nice. I've handled the Gigand and it also is nice but is very much more delicate than the Magna. Good work Mr. Bloch.

Actually I have both Magnas and Titans in stock.

The Titans are from my stock and the Magnas and Impulses are Repos from someone who owes me money

They are all brand new and never sold to the public.

I only have 5 Titans a 2 each of the Magnas and Impulses so if you wont one or both or all you better hurry
