Recommendation? Outdoor Element Scout Feather alternative carry options?

I had the chance to handle both a CRK Minimalist and a Outdoor Element Scout Feather today, and the Scout Feather really felt better in my hand. I wasn't sure how the factory included sheath clip worked and it was hard as heck to try and get clipped onto my belt or pocket. I am thinking it is meant for thinner straps? I figured I could mount some other kind of clip so I can clip it inside my waistband, on a belt or even horizontal but the holes in the sheath are smaller than what typically come on kydex sheaths. Suggestions on a clip (or clips) that could work with this sheath?

Or perhaps I can drill out a couple of those holes and enlarge them for standard clip screws? If I do this are there rivets I should put back in place?

I purchased both of their blades during the KickStarter, and the clips are not meant for belts or pockets, but for backpack straps... Really limits the usefulness for these knives as an EDC thing, unless you carry a pack or fanny pack everyday. If you do try to use them in the pocket or belt, the way the clips are built, they will cut into the material. They are neat packages, and seem very robust, but for my use, they will mostly live in a storage box until I go camping, or for hikes that are greater than 5-7 miles. The spacing on the included sheaths are not standard, so even drilling them out wouldn't allow you to use something like an ulticlip/techlock. Happy to pull any other information you may want from them, just let me know.
