I'm working on an Outdoor knife series, containing three knives. This is the second knife up in size. It's made out of 1.2842 or maybe better known as O2. A selective hardening was used and a double temper cycle. Because O2 rusts pretty easily I decided to use Gun Coat. I've never used this before so I did a little test. I sprayed a test piece and used a key to scratch it. The key was not able to penetrate the paint. Only after I used an other knife, the scratches touched the bare steel. A nice product so far.

The tang is tapered for weight and balance reasons. Grips are made of black/green micarta. Black micarta pins. Still have to make a sheath out of Kydex.

Hope you like it.

Greetings Toni

looks perfect. looks like the handle contour of a WSK and a blade contour of a Mission. i like it a lot. really nice.

Beautiful knife - let's see a shot of the butt (of the handle that is).

That's a great design you got there. I really like the way it looks and looks very useful too. I'm working on a knife that I'd like to do a blade coating. Where did you get that gun coat? I'd love to use it on my knife. Did you mean "Gun Kote" ? The kind you spray on and bake? Thanks.
