I was walking downtown with my mother going to local antique stores when I came across this little working man's knife at one of them. I've heard this particulal model was made around the 40's or 50's. So I really just had to show it off a bit. I very rarley buy knives from antique stores in fear of paying too much, since I have no idea about older knives. But for $18.90 after tax I figured I could waste the money. Overall I feel confident in this knife and that I can abuse this knife as it looks like it has been for the past couple decades.

Imperial?
I just ran downstairs to make sure mine isn't a Colonial, and was surprised to see it's a West-cut (or -kut, I forget). I've got one upstairs that's an Imperial. One of these days I'm going to put a handier handle on it.

they used to sell them like that @ circle-k stores in Great Falls, Montana when I was a kid. The ones they had were Imperials but looked identical.... the sheath I remember looked like suede and I always drooled @ them while buying candy or freezes. I think they were about $5 then. They were under a glass top at the counter in the 70's... :->

Thanks for that link. I had no idea Utica made one of these.
You guys have given me something else to collect, but at least they're inexpensive.

You're welcome.
I've got a set and I've seen a few others. There are some unused ones out there that command a pretty good price.
Enjoy.
