Finished a carter neck knife pattern. About 8". Laminated Hitachi white steel clad with stainless
I like making this knife and find Carter neck knives very practical and a useful design,
some quick pics from while I'm on my real job break :-)

Nicely tapered tang, snakewood?

Yes sir. Snakewood from Suriname.
IMO A tapered tang is a must on a handmade custom knife. To me straight tangs just look blocky and production but that's just me

This one forged out really nicely tapered both ways

Normally and in the past I have used liners but I decided to keep this one simple

Nice looking necker....very well done.
