Outside Webcam Security System

I am interesting in setting up a home security system on a budget. I want to hook up a security systems and was interested in setting up about 8 webcams outside. Does anyone have any advice. I am still researching but if someone knew of a company that offered a package deal that would solve a lot of my problems.

X-10 is decent stuff pretty cheap. They do have multi camera package deals. I have had several of their cameras on my property for years.

Besides cameras and a computer what do you need for 3 or 4 camera system?
