I shot my first ever 3D shoot yesterday & I've only been shooting this bow for the last 3 weeks, I scored a 249 out of a possible 330 in the HunterClass

Coaldigger looks like a great time.Good looking boys you have.Looking forward to getting my Bowtech out shooting.Wanting to get out for a hike with my boy once all the snow melts in the woods up here.

Mike

Thanks guys...yeah the twins are growing way to fast :(
Hey BigCountry...which BowTech you shooting ? I'm getting ready to go for a 2010 PSE Vendetta XS :D Gonna use the Ross for a hunting bow & the PSE for 3D (if I get it)

Coaldigger I use a 07 allegance. I have shot quite a few deer with it.I will be buying a Destryer 340 soon. My buddy just got one and it is smooth fast tunes great and fast! I realy like Andy Ross though he is a true class act.I have heard their customer dervice is 2nd to none. I gave up gun hunting 10 years ago because I just love bow hunting.I was with my son for his first bow kill and nothing tops that moment. He is going on 24 now and i am trying to figure out where all the time has gone.....lol.

Yep...I really like BowTech...I was wanting a Destroyer340 or 350 but for $899 naked I'll pass, I shot the PSE OMEN & it was WICKED FAST ! but it was also $899 naked  But the PSE VENDETTA is another Fast bow (IBO 330+) & it's only $599 Naked !

Cool pics. My son (2.5 years old) asked me to "shoot the deer" yesterday so I was able to get a little archery time. First time this year.

I love archery ! I have been out of it for a few years but i'm now getting back into it & boy have I missed it :) Hopefully I'll be ready for another 3D shoot in a couple of weeks !

Been forever since I have shot a 3D shoot. Man those things are fun!!

Doc
I have been into archery for at least the last 12yrs but have never shot a 3-D course until last Sat. My first shoot with a new bow, I spent the first 1.5hr on the practice range shooting spots trying to get my new sights zero in (I just stuck them on the night before) & I was getting some fletching contact sO I had one of the guys from the range helping me...Then we walked the course & I got a 249/330 :) I thought that was decent for my first time out :p

249/330 Was that marked yardage on the 3D course? if it wasn't I would say you did pretty well. New bow, new sight.

Do your little guys shoot?

I have heard that Ross is a pretty smooth draw curve. I have not shot my boews in a few years but intend to do a 3D shoot or two this spring. I am shooting a Martin Slayer for 3D and a Mathews LX as my hunting bow.

It's nice to see some archery photos on here.

The 249/330 was shot in the "HunterClass" they have a colored stake for each class, each class has a maximum yardage, the "HunterClass" maximum Yardage is 35yds but the targets are not marked & you can't use a rangefinder. The target could be anywhere between 10~35yds. Might be 18yds or might be 32 yds ....etc.
YES - the ROSS CARDIAC has the smoothest Drawcycle I have ever pulled !
I have shot the new Mathews Z7, PSE Omen, Mathews Swithcback, Martin Moab Pro, Hoyt MaganTec, Mathews Reezen 6.5 & out of all these Great Bows The Ross is the smoothest & is one of the Quitest ! It's not a speed demon of a bow but it's plenty fast enough. The bow I would rank 2nd out of those is the Martin Moab Proseries bow.
I'm saving up now for a 2010 PSE VendettaXS :D
The twins do have a couple of Bear "scout" model bows but the draw is a little long on them so they really don't enjoy it....but they will when they get a little bigger ;)
Here is the Archery Club where I shot the 3-d course at, I'm gonna join here in a couple of weeks
