Outstanding pivot lube

I was at Plaza Cutlery today, touching all their sharp toys and not buying any of them. An older gent working there told me to try (name I forgot) Speed Cream. It is usually used on skateboard bearings, and is apparently closer to Miltec-1 than regular oil because it's a treatment that helps the metal repell water and grime. I've had pretty lousy results with most traditional lube, becuase sooner than later my knives fill with gunk like pocket fluff and cardboard dust. I do recall using air tool oil on a pivot one time and never again having to clean the knife. I ended up losing it, sadly. Anyway, just wondering if you all have some experience to share on the matter of pivot lube.

I can't think of one bad thing to say about Mineral oil. I love it!

I've heard that mineral oil can get "skunky" over time??

For me, I've stuck with Tuff-Glide. It's a bit pedestrian in the knife world, but it seems to meet all my needs.

I have found Breakfree CLP to be my new wunder oil, I use it on my knifes, guns, fishing rods, you name it... Its good stuff and does not have a odor unlike some solvents...
